A wedding in teal

Posted by Susan on Thursday, March 04, 2010 in ,

This card was made specifically for a co-worker getting married in Jamaica. We did an office collection and everyone in the office who contributed got to sign the card. Because I knew in advance that her wedding colors were teal and white, I decided to use teal and white on the card.

I love how the hearts come together when the card is closed, and float apart when opened.

Stamps: SU Always, g studio sentiment
Paper: SU Taken with Teal cardstock, Belle Bleu designer paper, Bazzil Grey CS
Ink: SU Taken with Teal
Other: SU Scallop border punch, teal rhinestones

Raise the Bar Challenge #5 - Be Mine Forever

I decided to try the Raise the Bar - Be Mine Forever Challenge which was to use a stamp/set/item that you will never ever ever sell or give up. Ever.

So first, I have to say I can't imagine parting with any of my stamp sets - I'm a horder in that regard! However, if there was one set I would really miss it would have to be my SU Lovely as a Tree set. I know, it's not that old, but I haven't been stamping that long.

Stamps: SU Lovely as a Tree, Studio G Dream
Paper: SU Chocolate Chip, Bazzil CS Orange, SU Kraft
Ink: SU Chocolate Chip
Other: Cuttlebug, Nestabilities Label Three, Maple Leaf Punch, Michaels Orange and White polkadot ribbon, SU Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens, Acorn and Oak Leaf accents

Baby Best Wishes

Just a little birthday shower card for a co-worker, who is heading off to have baby #2. I wanted to try creating a "quilt" type look in the background of the card, which I achieved with a scoring blade and the white pearls. Simple, but I think I achieved the look I was after.

Paper: Baby Blue and Apricot Card stock
Other: Slice, Slice Basics Design Card, Pearls, Stickers, White flock from doodlebug

Ink: SU Pumpkin Pie
Paper: White Cardstock, Bazzil Orange, SU Summer Picnic DP
Other: Martha Stewart Doily Border Punch, SU Scallop Circle Punch, Orange and white polkadot stock ribbon from Michaels
